In
addition to the Medical Control Program for Occupational Health,
developed and implemented by Mr. João Jorge Tejo through SESI
(Industry Social Service), the owner of Fazenda Tamanduá, Mr. Pierre
Landolt, who is concerned with the wellbeing of his workers, hired
the auxiliary nurse Mrs. Rivercleide Alves to carry out the task of
taking care of and monitoring the health of the workers and their
families.
Among the responsibilities of auxiliary nursing, the following are
dealt with: information about the basic principles of personal
hygiene, conscientious use of water for consumption, checking blood
pressure, following up on people undergoing medical treatment,
control of medicines and first-aid materials, vaccination of
children and the elderly, cytological and breast examinations for
women, prostate examinations for men over 40 years of age, control
of medicines supplied by the company after medical prescription, as
well as following up on any worker who is undergoing treatment in
the case of accidents.
Thanks to the work developed, we have been able to improve and
ensure the monitoring of the employees’ health; and this results in
savings for the company because of the correct use of the medicines
that it supplies – further justifying the hiring of an auxiliary
nurse.
